From August 20 to September 27, 2024, the Tribunal held a consultation on changes to its Rules of Practice and Procedure. Proposed changes included:

• introducing a mandatory requirement for municipalities and other approval authorities to forward appeals through the newly launched e-file portal;
• outlining the process for expropriation costs;
• requiring parties requesting a review of a Tribunal decision to serve the request on all parties; and,
• expanding the list of appeal types where sheltering is applicable.

The Tribunal is now reviewing any feedback received during the consultation and will provide further updates once the review is complete.
