Submit Documents

Filing an Appeal Form

Please review the notice of decision or document you received to determine with whom the appeal should be filed (e.g., Secretary-Treasurer, Clerk, Minister, Niagara Escarpment Commission, Ontario Land Tribunal).

If you are required to file your appeal with a municipality or other approval authority, please determine if they are registered with the OLT’s e-file portal to see if you can file your appeal online. If the municipality or other approval authority is not registered with the OLT’s e-file portal, you must complete and submit the A1 Appeal Form to them using the methods indicated on their notice of decision or contact them directly to determine how it should be filed.

Municipal/Approval Authority Submissions

The submission form and associated referral checklists should be sent in digital format to the OLT with the appeal form(s) received and the required attachments.

Submitting Other Documents

Throughout the appeals process, you may be required to submit other forms or documents to the OLT, including documents you intend to refer to at the hearing. These are to be sent directly to your assigned Tribunal Case Coordinator. It is not necessary to copy the Registrar.
