Citizen Liaison

There are many useful tools and resources posted on the website to help you better understand the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT)’s processes. However, if you have any questions, the OLT Citizen Liaison can help you better understand the rules, practices and procedures of the OLT.

How can the Citizen Liaison help me?

The Citizen Liaison can help you better understand OLT’s policies and practices so you can participate more effectively in the OLT’s process. The Citizen Liaison can answer questions such as:

  • How do I file my appeal?
  • What is the appeal process?
  • What is my role?
  • What happens at a hearing event?

Can the Citizen Liaison help me file my appeal?

The Citizen Liaison can help explain rules, processes and procedures, but cannot provide legal advice. For example, the Citizen Liaison can help you to better understand which form to fill out for your appeal and answer questions about the materials being asked for in your submission. However, the Citizen Liaison cannot tell you what to include in a form or submission, as that could be considered providing legal advice.

If you need help preparing your submission, you may wish to speak to a planning or legal professional.

How do I contact the Citizen Liaison?
