Tribunals Ontario is pleased to announce the reappointment of James McKenzie as the Associate Chair of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal for a one-year period, effective February 2, 2019.
A respected adjudicator and mediator, Mr. McKenzie was first appointed to the position of Associate Chair of the Ontario Municipal Board in February 2, 2017. Last spring, he was instrumental in the transition from the Ontario Municipal Board to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.

• The Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) is an adjudicative tribunal that hears cases in relation to a range of municipal planning, financial and land matters.
• Tribunals Ontario is responsible for 19 tribunals that fall under the Ministry of the Attorney General. Tribunals conduct hearings, make decisions and resolve disputes on a wide variety of issues and operate independently of government.
